Will is a twenty-one-year-old, floundering after his mother’s death and struggling to pay the bills, when he discovers the deed to a property his father presumably owned in upstate New York. On the advice of his lawyer, and because it will solve his financial woes, he decides to move immediately.

To say that his new neighbors are an enigma is an understatement. First he meets the father in a not-so-neighborly way, And then he meets his daughter. In a more than neighborly way 😉

What ensues is a quest for Will to find his heritage, to understand why the man who deeded the house to his father did so, and to find out if he can live with everything he finds out. Sometimes I felt that Will was a bit naïve, but then I remembered he was only 21, and shielded by his mom most of his life, so that tracked. I found this to be an engaging read that any thriller reader will love!
